saw Pela's record release show @ mercury lounge last year, great show and i've had the album on my mp3 player in heavy rotation since, excited to see how they perform in a bigger venue

Finally checked out Pela and I'm very sad for not having done so earlier. This should be a great show.

Pela = one of the most underrated bands around....

Can't help but agree with everyone here - Pela is one of those bands that should make it to the next level. kick ass songs with lots of emotion and a bunch of nice guys playing them. support these guys - its worth it. and their last record is a homerun.

Yeah screw those people who actually love bands for the music and not for the hype.

Pela have put on two of the worst shows I've ever seen. Seriously, I'm one of those kids who will turn the other cheek when music is so bad it offends me. But these guys are just douchetastic. Somebody count how many times the front man flips the bird at the audience this tour. He's so punk rock!

i managed to catch these guys perform 3X last year, and each time i left tingling. they put on a great show; soulful, passionate, frenzied and yet still tangible. everthing a club show should be, in my humble opinion. i really dig these guys. i've read a few things regarding the lead singer's "antics", but i've never seen him be anything but gracious and generous. anytown graffiti is a pretty fantastic record...give it a listen if you have not already. peace and love in 2008.

I've seen Pela 4 times. Never seen them do anything offensive. Their release show at Mercury kicked major ass.
Two of the worst shows you've ever seen? I guess you don't get out much, or have had the luck of going to some fantastic shows. Pela is way better live than on record, and they are pretty good on record.
