Did anyone see them at After the Jump in August? Yeah, didn't think so. They really suck horribly now.

I always fell the need to see Sonic, like there's going to be some new gadgetry or band members involved. Then he starts "playing" and it's as boring as ever. Fuck it.

Has anyone seen either the Union Hall or Knitting Factory Spectrum shows? I'm a longtime Spacemen 3 fan that doesn't want to be let down yet again by one of Sonic Boom's self-indulgent snorefests, so I need to know if Mercury Lounge is worth going to tonight?

Caught Spectrum at The Knit. It's him on a synth. It wasn't the most rocking show, though there were nice droney grooves with good variation between songs. Definitely better than one of his mid '90s appearances.

^^^Cool. Thanks for the report Anon 4:08. It sounds tolerable but I still think I'm gonna pass on Mercury Lounge tonight, especially when the only opener is Sonic Boom DJing.
