i hate to be a down-er but the stars are pretty bad live...much better on the ipod.

really? I saw them a couple years ago and they were pretty good? is it just this new album that they don't perform well?

The show at Town Hall last fall was great. Hope they play there again as it was a good fit with the venue.

dr. j.: you're entitled to your opinion, but i couldn't disagree with you more. stars really connected with packed house at their most recent philly show. well worth price of admission. sure as heck ponying up to see & hear more.

Cool album cover. I've never seen that cover before for SYoF. Was that cover only released outside the US?

Pretty bad? I beg to differ...

I've seen them lackluster when they had to do a short set opening for Death Cab. But when they are on their own-- as at Town Hall -- there's nobody like them. Not only is the music great, so is the chemistry and the craziness.

they are amazing live. dr. jones, i think you just caught a bad show. i thought their town hall show really blew donkey dick, but they made up for it at the music hall of billyburg. amazing!!!
