Tapes 'n Tapes releasing 2nd record, playing SXSW
DOWNLOAD: Tapes n Tapes - cowbell (not new mp3)

Jack Penate XL labelmates Tapes 'n Tapes (insert snarky "they're still a band??"-like comment here) are releasing their second record entitled "Walk It Off" on April 8th (it was produced by Dave Fridmann).
Pitchfork: How did you come up with the album title? They'll also be announcing a Spring tour soon, and they're playing SXSW (just like they did A LOT in 2006). "Walk It Off" tracklist below....Grier: Well, our drummer [Jeremy Hanson] came up with it. We were throwing around titles, and he was like "I've always liked the sound of the title Walk It Off." And we were like "oh, that sounds cool." At that point we had thrown around a lot of stuff and nothing had really passed it, so it was like "all right, let's go with that." It could be so many different things, and taken so many different ways, and then we realized like three weeks later that there's a lyric in the second-to-last song, "Lines", where we actually say "walk it off." And then we were like "oh, it's perfect!" [laughs]

the new Breeders album, also out April 8th, has a song called "walk it off." coincidence...or a shitty band stealing ideas from a great band? YOU BE THE JUDGE!
