THE BLACK KEYS - 2008 Tour Dates, SXSW, presale, Terminal 5, new DANGER MOUSE album

The Black Keys are going on a tour in March and April to support their new album....
.....the Danger Mouse-produced Attack & Release, the duo's fifth album-- but their first recorded in a proper studio. Alas, no Cee-Lo guest spot, but it does feature contributions from experimental guitarist Marc Ribot and multi-instrumentalist Ralph Carney (Patrick's uncle), both of whom have played in Tom Waits' band. There's also a pretty killer slow-burn duet between guitarist/singer Dan Auerbach and 18-year-old bluegrass/country singer Jessica Lea Mayfield on the closing track. [Pitchfork]It coms out on Nonesuch on April 1st. The NYC show is at Terminal 5, and a pre-sale starting Friday. The Black Keys are also playing SXSW. All dates below....

i hate when two bands have album titles that are really similar
Black Keys: Attack & Release
SMD: Attack Decay Sustain Release
both appeal to the same age group too

Ahhhh hahaha once again thank you Bowery Presents for being dickheads. I mean can anyone justify putting The Black Keys at Terminal Shit(and yes i have been there). Give me a fucking break. Its off to philly then to see them at the much smaller and better sounding TLA
Bowery Presents please go fuck yourselves. You are single handly killing the concert scene in NYC now.

McCarren pool may be done as a concert venue... i wouldn't hold my breath for those announcements.
Lots of condos that flank that park got their CO in the last few months...
I doubt the millionaires are gonna sit idly by while their floor-to-ceiling curtainless windows start pulsating .
Same 'ole new york story.
Broke people with vision help build a community up.
Community draws interesting, vital life, and a 'scene' is born.
Rich, stifled people want to be closer to the flame, move in.
Rich people chase away the cool.
No more rock shows at the pool.
I swear, if you have a good enough lawyer, you can move next to an airport and stop the airplanes with your bitching.

Ah, fuck this. I want to see them, but I'm not down for going to Terminal 5. Using my money for the Miracle Fortress/Most Serene Republic Show at Mercury Lounge in February.
