BV...why did u wipe out all of the negative comments about this shitty band? Are u getting paid for this post???

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:25 PM

BV is on the take! Scandal Scandal Scandal Scandal Scandal Scandal!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:28 PM

There's a difference between negative and hateful.

Posted by brooklynvegan | January 30, 2008 12:28 PM

When are music blogs going to go back to promoting bands that they are actually interested in. Rather bands that the labels are paying them to promote? There is no way anybody can actually like this gimmick act.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:31 PM

Hmmmm, the great bv payola scandal? bv say it ain't so.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:34 PM

Deleted Post: "These assholes need to get real jobs." Hateful? I say no. Constructive criticism.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:38 PM

I mean, some of my best friends are assholes who should seriously reconsider their "music careers."

"Hmmmm, the great bv payola scandal? bv say it ain't so."

Seriously?

Please cut me some slack right now. I'm having so many problems with this website/server and feel like I haven't slept in days.

It's really hard for me to moderate comments, but if I catch a homophobic comment thread, I'm going to delete it. I don't care if people think a band is shitty. That's what the comments are here for (though it wouldn't hurt if more positive people were motivated to comment sometimes).

Posted by brooklynvegan | January 30, 2008 12:42 PM

they are fun kids. i like them.

Posted by kavin | January 30, 2008 12:44 PM

i often pay BV to NOT cover certain bands actually...

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:45 PM

You guys are so paranoid! Have you ever considered the possibility that BV just has exceptionally bad taste? I'm not ruling out the Pay To Post conspiracy theories, but it's the less likely explanation.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 12:52 PM

You don't like BV's taste...then don't read his blog. It's really that simple.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 1:04 PM

Calling these guys fags is not homophobic. I use fag like everyone else does...to refers to wimpy nerds. Fags in tight as hell jeans and shrunken t-shirts. Come on...look at this pic and tell me you wouldnt want to trip one of these kids:

hate to tell you this, anon 1.19, but it is NEVER okay to use the words 'fag' to describe someone (only cigarettes in the UK). and i'm hetero, but it's just wrong.

i agree about the 'hipster doofus' club kids with the 'tight jeans and shrunken t-shirts.' but let's not call them 'fags.'

isnt bear hands playing this show too?

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 2:18 PM

Hugs for BV

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 2:26 PM

it's gotten to the point where i'm actually surprised when i read positive comments on here. the homophobic (i don't care what you say, anon 1:19 - it is homophobic) and hateful comments are not constructive, witty, or pertain to anything that bv actually posts. i guess it would be possible to read the posts without going down to the comments, but like i mentioned, it's nice when you actually do see something positive.

if you don't like someone and must tell everyone, at least be smart about it. the lowest common denominator approach is ridiculous.

wouldnt having a system where you had to login and register a username help get rid of all of these awful comments? i think people would be more considerate if they had to take the time to login, and also then I could get used to just ignoring certain people's opinions.'

there are enough well spoken commenters to warrant a more exclusive dialogue.

Posted by yourebusybutsomeday? | January 30, 2008 2:56 PM

i am really offended.

Posted by fag | January 30, 2008 2:56 PM

yourebusy.. agreed. making login necessary would get rid of anonymous bs. less stupidy/clutter would be nice when going through these comments. and also, i am a relatively positive person, but i have gone out of my way lately to warn friends NOT to even attempt to listen to the teenagers. just plain terrible music making an attempt to seem 'cool' by going through the usual 'indie, hip, whatever' channels. like this site.

i've never heard them but so far i think they are only guilty of choosing a photographer who failed to create a compelling image

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 3:38 PM

What time does Daft Punk go on?

BV- like anyone influential and popular, you're gonna have to withstand some fools who are certain that it's cooler to be anti than to enjoy your site. It's a little "I hate you mom and dad, you SO don't get it!" but what can you do? Thanks for taking down the f-word and realizing everything that should be obvious about all that...

Posted by JB | January 30, 2008 5:55 PM

awww, that daft punk wasn't even clever.

Posted by erika! | January 31, 2008 2:20 AM

Every negative comment is posted by interns at competing record labels.......

Posted by matt | January 31, 2008 10:19 AM

Awww, they are adorable, but not so great vocally live! Dayum!

Talk about being oversensitive. I can't believe posts were censored in an internet message board like this.

Is Frankie Lymon still with the band?

Posted by drewo | January 31, 2008 10:44 AM

I've had close to enough with the Daft Punk jokes. You all love Daft Punk, I do too, and it doesn't make sense why they're brought up in that context - especially to whoever posted about Daft Punk at Heath Ledger's funeral. It was completely tasteless although I'll admit that I did laugh. Do your research on the Teenagers, they started as a joke and they primarily don't speak English. They write their lyrics in English because it's easier to say what they do when it's not in their own language, etc... They also have "serious" songs. They're a good time live and recorded and if you don't like them then don't read the fucking post. The Teenagers also are not hipsters so quit bashing them and go continue keeping pot illegal you narrow minded...I don't even know what word to use. I'm in the music video, it's gonna be tight and the Teenagers are some of the sweetest people that I've had the pleasure of speaking to.

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 5:05 PM

i bet ur a good time live

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 5:31 PM

What time does Daft Punk teach the teenagers how to speak English?

Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 6:10 PM

Actually, I, for one, don't like Daft Punk, I just like making Daft Punk comments (but not under a post about someone's death).

Posted by Anonymous | February 1, 2008 8:58 AM

Can anyone give an unbiased opinion on any of this week's live Teenagers show(s)? Just wondering if it's worth hitting Studio B for the Hot Chip after-party tonight primarily just to see The Teenagers play live?

Posted by Anonymous | February 2, 2008 2:09 PM

I've seen these guys live in Chicago, and my retarded pet monkey can play music better than these kids. They truly suck. But if you like sucky music, the Teeanges rock!
