The Verve

As rumored, the LA Times is reporting that reunited British band The Verve are among those playing Coachella this year....

At a news conference scheduled for today, Tollett and his business partners, which include concert promotion giant AEG Live, plan to announce the full lineup for the ninth edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio this April. It will include the Verve, the Raconteurs, Jack Johnson, My Morning Jacket and Rilo Kiley. (thx CDS)
Supposedly also Portishead.

even at their height, the verve was never really that big in the states. to most people, they're considered a one hit wonder. then again, i dont think they'll be headlining.

The Verve are great - headliners - no prolly not here in the US.

I'm sure there are more meaty tidbits to the line-up coming tomorrow.

I'm going to start selling tickets that will guarantee people the ability to NOT attend certain festivals and events. $50 for 2 people to NOT go to Coachella.

Given that lineups for all festivals are all horrible, shitty, worst ever, etc., I think I should do very well. I will probably take out ads on this website, so stay tuned.

any festival lineup that includes my morning jacket immediately makes it a good festival lineup. i'd pay for the weekend just to see them alone.

What time does Daft Punk break up and then reunite for Coachella?

really ? I'm not sure where you live but there probably a good chance they'll come somewhere near you on their own in the nexy year for 1/10th the ticket price of a weekend pass at coachella....
also regarding the line up, I'd like to reserve judgement until I see the whole thing.. the few times I went wasn't for the headliners or even the second to last (except for The Pixies/ Radiohead combo a few years ago)

awesome, i'll sell you a ticket to their radio city show for the low, low price of a coachella ticket then

it's really not about the line up. coachella is an all around good time. you obviously have never been.

Agree with comment that the Verve are not really a big draw in the US. Not sure what they were thinking.

The Liberty State Park festival will be called the "All Points West Music and Arts Festival". It will be August 8-10th.

Saw The Verve a couple of times before and during the Urban Hymns tour. The shows were always incredibly beautiful and Massive Attack opened. Hate to sound old (33), but "The Drugs Don't Work" was pretty much the anthem of a generation.
