just called the mercury box office and was told the show is almost sold out. do they release any at the door if it sells out in advance?

for what venue? I went to a sold out Pela show at mercury lounge sans ticket and they usually release 10 tickets before the doors open so get there early.

A 24-year-old volunteer at community radio station 91.7 FM KOOP took his music so seriously that he set fire to the station when it didn't play the songs on his playlist, Austin Fire Department Battalion Chief Greg Nye said.

Paul Webster Feinstein has been charged with second-degree felony arson and was being held Monday in the Travis County Central Booking Facility. If convicted, he could be sentenced to two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2008 11:39 AM

from memory, the six organs set was:

Journey through Sankuan Pass
Wolves' Pup

Jade Like Wine
Words For Two
Spirits Abandoned
The Manifestation
Creation Aspect Fire (Elisa joins, Chasny goes electric)
Hum a Silent Prayer
Strangled Road
A Thousand Birds
Black Needle Rhymes

Home
----
Dead Flowers (Rolling Stones)

order might be slightly off near the end, but i think that was everything. great show!

sorry, the space in between BNR and Home was a cover song i didn't recognize. not sure why that disappeared.

Rolling Stones cover (also done by Townes Van Zandt, of course) was great. Anyone know what the first cover was?

One of the best shows I've seen in a while.

Posted by John | January 30, 2008 6:35 PM

the first cover was "That's Alright" by Fleetwood Mac

Thanks Anonymous! Knew it sounded familiar...

Who is the guy they were dedicating the cover songs to? And where was six organs drummer?
