Yeasayer played New Years Eve too

Speaking of Yeasayer playing, they played New Years Eve in NYC too - a Myopenbar.com party at "a private sprawling decorated loft, for $15". Thanks to all those who sent me notice of the show - unfortunately they just all came while I was taking a few days off (aka I didn't know about it in time to post about it). More photos by Rebecca Smeyne @ MyOpenbar. Yeasayer tour dates HERE.

I felt really cool about going to this show b/c it wasn't posted on BV. I also wear an Oak Ridge Boys 'Hot Summer Nights' T-shirt ironically, only eat organic food and drive a Toyota Prius hybrid.

What the is so funny about ripping on someone for driving a hybrid? I can think of worse things than people driving a trendy car that is better for the environment. What is the problem w/ you NYC twats?

I think the problem is that *some* people, not all, but some people do these things because they are trendy, and I think that's an empty gesture. But someone doing because they truly believe it's good for the environment, I give kudos for that.

But if they do it because its trendy who cares? What does it matter if its an empty gesture? They are still doing something better than others who drive cars. If you are going to get Lemmings to do something it my as well be something positive.
