After a cease & desist put the breaks on Amplive's Radiohead In Rainbows remix project, the online music community reasonably wondered if the tracks would ever see the light of day. Today comes an answer: they most definitely will. While the Oakland producer/DJ acknowledges that he probably should have contacted Radiohead (who were not involved in the project) to seek approval prior to making his interpretations publicly available, an agreement has been reached between all involved parties and Amplive has been granted permission to release Rainydayz Remixes for free to the general public.

Rainydayz Remixes Tracklist
01 Rainydayz
02 Video Tapez (Ft. Del The Funky Homosapien)
03 Nudez (Ft. Too $hort & MC Zumbi of Zion I)
04 Weird Fishez
05 All I Need
06 15 Stepz (Ft. Codany Holiday)
07 Reckonerz (Ft. Chali2NA)

All I Need is pretty cool! Radiohead as the backtrack to some random MC's, not so great. But thems is free.

Terrible

This would be better without the rapping over it. The remixes of the songs sound good, but the rapping makes it just sound bad a lot of the time...

that was really disappointing. some mashups are great (snoop/flaming lips for example) but this was just weak.

attention rappers: not every great rock album needs to be "remixed". the true talent would be in choosing which albums best lend themselves to a mashup. in rainbows? not so much.

bad idea, horrible execution.

god I hate remixes. I don't think I've ever heard a remix that was as better than the actual song, ever, in the history of music.

i'm a huge radiohead fan, and i enjoy this remix album. i don't think it takes anything away from the band. it's just another artist's interpretation, the fact that RH's work can be manipulated into something different and fresh(over and over again) just solidifies their knack for writing solid music.

covers on the other hand...no thanks
