Along the same lines, does anyone know if there is another opener besides Dirty on Purpose? 8:00 PM show seems pretty early for two bands.

Posted by sean | February 14, 2008 2:18 PM

fuck this show. show of the night GUTTER TWINS BABY!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2008 2:26 PM

No other openers. Set times are 8:30 and 9:45, but I would suggest getting there before then...could take a bit of time to get inside.

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2008 2:58 PM

@ Anon 5:05 - Then stay the hell out of it dipshit. The people in that neighborhood don't want people who think like you around anymore than the people I'm sure you already disgust on a daily basis.

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2008 6:01 PM

do the gutter twins also feature greg dulli asking a girl to "go for a ride" in every fucking song?

i love BoH. their late night CMJ 2007 show goes down as one of the most spiritual performances of my life.

but tonight... they were rough man. sounded tired. and i think they knew it. so for the last 5 songs they really pulled it out. maybe a little too late...

"That's where Spike Lee lives!"

Not Anymore!

Is There a Ghost and Island on The Coast were the first two songs Im suuprised they weren't on the setlist.

I generally like this band, but last night's show was awful. This is one of the worst sounding rooms in the city. They flooded the place with noise, but it was so loud that it washed out any nuance from the music. Not the band's issue--it was the space. Wish I had caught them at the Bowery last year.

Posted by noah | February 15, 2008 8:36 AM

Awful? That seems like a big exaggeration. I thought the space was amazing. It was crowded too crowded though.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2008 9:16 AM

Sound was iffy...back of the floor center wasn't bad soundwise. I moved around afew times...I enjoyed the show.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2008 9:29 AM

"I've got this song on my iPod!!!" the drunk chatty girl screamed.

Sums up the entire night.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2008 9:51 AM

I thought there were some sound issues, and the band was somewhat sluggish. The cover of Effigy was excellent as was the encore. The band's energy level picked up at that point and so did the crowd's reaction to them.

I found out last night that apparently, Band of Horses is music that you can dance to.

Posted by Anonymous | February 15, 2008 10:09 AM

quote of the night from some girl who was cheering after one sogn, "I DONT CARE IF ALL YOUR SONGS SOUND THE SAME!"
