Someone please educate these guys on stage volume

Parts of their set didn't even sound like music

Stage volume probably wasn't their doing. It's the sound board guys. Often, the opening bands are kept at a lower level on purpose so they won't upstage the headliner. I'm not saying that's what happened here, but if I had to guess...
