Dolly Parton is considered as the most successful female country artist in history, with 25 number-one singles and 42 top-10 country albums. This is what makes her popular and loved by thousands of people in US and all around the world. Her great popularity is noticeable while a concert. It becomes so hard to get a ticket and prices become so high. I missed many of her concerts just because of ticket prices. Lately, a friend has recommended me a site where to compare ticket prices for free before booking and I find it a great idea because this way I can look for the lowest prices offered.

DOLLY PARTON thrilled a standing-room-only crowd at The Roxy in Los Angeles Friday night (3/28), performing a special set for Los Angeles country radio station KKGO "Go Country 105” listeners. An array of VIPs were there, too, cheering DOLLY on: Emmy Rossum, Dita Von Teese, Kathy Griffin, Butch Walker, Katy Perry, and Perez Hilton plus actress Alison Janney, who’ll star in the musical “9 to 5,” for which Dolly wrote the music and lyrics; it world premieres September 3-October 20 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles before reaching Broadway in February 2009. At the Roxy, DOLLY and her band belted out songs from her acclaimed and hit album Backwoods Barbie album (Dolly Records)—its first single “Better Get To Livin,” the newly released single “Jesus & Gravity” and the title track--plus her self-written smash hits “9 to 5,” “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” Next up for DOLLY: two “American Idol” appearances this week (Tuesday 4/1 and Wednesday 4/2), where she’ll mentor the Idols and perform “Jesus & Gravity.” On April 22, DOLLY launches her “Backwoods Barbie” tour. As Dolly quipped, “A backwoods Barbie doesn’t come with a dream house. She comes with an outhouse.”
