Growing

The Annex is advertising tonight's show as "730p Safari So Good/8:15p Mike Bones/9p Special Guest!!!/10p Growing" (Social Registry bill). Anyone know who the special guest is? Mike Bones' tour dates say he is playing with Sian Alice Group (a UK group also on Social Registry). Maybe they are the guest for whatever reason.

Growing's friends and fellow noise-niks Sightings are also playing a show tonight (Feb 13), but in Brooklyn - at Union Pool with True Primes, Sabir Maten, Andrew Barker, and Hill Greene. Growing are also opening for Boris March 4th at Knitting Factory. A bunch of tour dates and videos below....

I hope the special guest is Gang Gang Dance, but I doubt it. I doubt they would bill Sian Alice Group as special guests. I wonder who it could be...

ORCHARD BETWEEN RIVINGTON & DELANCY

Hey Folks-

Tonight we begin the big ramp up through the end of February starting with Annex. We have a stellar line up of Growing, Sian Alice Group and then Mike Bones (backed by Sian Alice Group). Conveniently located on the Lower East Side on Orchard Street this should be a stellar one that runs smoothly and sounds amazing.

Sian Alice Group are billed as special guest because they are playing the Big Sleep record release next week.

"Growing has been my favorite ban for like 3 years now.. HOpefully they come through with a great performance this time around."

How could it possibly be any different than every other show they have ever played?

Sweet, I didn't know Growing was opening for Boris. Now I'm not as upset about missing tonight's show.

Glasslands back in october , the power blew out 3 times. SO that means they skip that drone they were spend a few minutes building up , and go to the next track . Which equals about an half hour show.

Got me ..

I see them pretty often , they are sick wit it , but some shows are better than others....

Im looking forward to hearing new material ...

"How could it possibly be any different than every other show they have ever played?"

This show was much different and heavier than the last show I saw of theirs. It was also MUCH shorter.

Did I totally lose all concept of time or did they really play for 20 minutes?

^^^^^^

Last night was orgasmic . They are definately coming into a certain groove with their material . The lat song with bouncy feel was stellar. I wish i had a recording ..

Far as the time goes, this was like my 7th show seeing them ... and they are good for putting on short ass shows. And they cut the show, right when the feel is at its climax, and the crowd begs for more.

Also this show needed the volume pumped up , to that insane droney level.
