I'd like to shut down Mary from High Places.

I heard High Places are winning the Plug Award for Most Pissed Off Looking Band

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 4:24 PM

Is that a joke about Plug Awards going to the wrong people?

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 4:36 PM

WTF does the first comment mean!?!? You mysoginist piece of shit!!! Creep.

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 4:40 PM

The first comment means he thinks she's pretty (in his own way).

I must say i think Mary is stunning and when i see her i consider proposing marriage.

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 5:14 PM

It sounds like the first comment either means he hates her singing, or in some cryptic (and pretty sexist) way, wants to get freaky. She is a cutie for sure.

I'm a dude, I love this band, but shit, from the other side of the coin, I can only imagine how much pussy must get thrown at Rob from being in this band. That HP NA market hotel show was nothing but girls swooning up front. And video cameras.

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 5:57 PM

ha!

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 6:03 PM

Yah, what was up with all the cameras? Crazy! They seem a bit freaked out by their popularity lately though. They seem so shy and sincere, not at all like most egomaniac bands. I hope they go far.

wow i thought he was gay and so gave myself a girl crush over mary
is he from the midwest?
sometimes midwestern boys accents (non accents) throw me as gay
cuz only gay guys speak correctly elsewhere, duh

Posted by Anonymous | February 29, 2008 8:10 PM

Ha ha! Yeah, I could see how he seems gay, but I saw him with a girl a bunch last spring, and I was surprised myself. He is actually from Philadelphia. He definitely has a swooning fan club of cute girls upfront at shows. Mary is pretty intimidating, but I don't know why. She seems sweet, but I wouldn't try to hit on her, I would be so nervous.

I saw them tonight by the way, Silent Barn was jam packed, and High Places did the sound for all the bands. Soft Circle, Lucky Dragons sounded really good, and High Places sounded sooooo huge and epic. My favorite show of '08 so far!

She looks pregnant in the photo above.

^People are allowed to have their favorite shows. Just let it go.

Also, Mary could have my baby if she wanted to. I'd be honored

High Places is a cult

"AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA

AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH"

Typical blog comment poster who has nothing happening in their life, so they empower themselves by being mean, for no reason what-so-ever. Sad. Brooklyn Vegan is awesome. The comments should be done a way with though. It's depressing how negative people get, for no reason. Also, some of the comments towards Mary are totally disrespectful and out of line. I'm shocked how 6th-grade-locker-room people get.

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2008 1:21 PM

i agree with 1:21 the commenting in the last year has taken the shitter. They should think about forcing people to register like at Gothamist. or moderate the comments, abusive comments could be deleted.

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2008 1:35 PM

and forgot to add- IPs of abusive commentators should be banned.

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2008 1:36 PM

youve never been in a sixth grade locker room so dont fucking act like you have jackass

Posted by Anonymous | March 1, 2008 2:17 PM

"for no reason what-so-ever"

"be done a way with though"

"I'm shocked how 6th-grade-locker-room people get"

"the commenting in the last year has taken the shitter"

I think you can add to the list of people being banned those whose english skills are atrocious. Far worse a problem than anything else. Work on that before you start pontificating about other person's comments.

Oh and to anon 5:42am
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

this was a beautiful night! really amazing vibes all around at Silent Barn.

Why is this one guy so giddy about dissing a show he didn't even attend?

Posted by Anonymous | March 2, 2008 4:55 AM

"IPs of abusive commentators should be banned."

BULLSHIT! Some of us have dynamic IP addresses. We might have the misfortune of temporarily having an IP address that has been banned. And what if all of the IP addresses in the range available to us get banned?

"Why is this one guy so giddy about dissing a show he didn't even attend?"

I think they are called trolls. I'n not to sure of the lingo these days. It's just best to ignore them. They are sad and wretched people.

Every now and then, my computer is banned, so either BV is banning people, or there is something else wrong on the site.
