i hope no one buys this cd.

Soccer moms looking for a hip edge with the young set will buy it.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:17 PM

ungrateful bastards!

Posted by richard branson | February 11, 2008 4:29 PM

Are you kidding. It is going to sell shitloads. Sorry Ed, but the tour is all the promotion EMI needs for it. What did you think? EMI was just going to sit quietly and not do anything with the back catalog.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:31 PM

10 bucks says "thinking about you" will be on the greatest hits cd...

Posted by hipster poseur | February 11, 2008 4:35 PM

Cause I'm a Creeeeeep.

Posted by jp | February 11, 2008 4:42 PM

EMI will be insolvent by April.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:43 PM

it'll probably be nothing after ok computer.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:44 PM

if you don't think creep is a good song you're out of your mind. just cause a song is popular or known doesn't make it bad.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:45 PM

Anyone hear anything about the NYC tour date yet?

Posted by treece | February 11, 2008 4:48 PM

^^^ Yeah they are playing MSG and a secret invite only show at Silent Barn.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:51 PM

all i need is the aiiir that i breeeeeeeeeathe!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:53 PM

i thought the secret show was at union pool...apparently they're joining the food coop.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 4:55 PM

i hope they have the radio edit AND the album versions of 'creep'!

Posted by ladylumps | February 11, 2008 5:09 PM

anyone else think in rainbows is trash?

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 5:38 PM

no.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 5:44 PM

I wonder if the band approved of just having Thom on the cover of RS.

Posted by bill p | February 11, 2008 5:45 PM

To capitalize on Radiohead's publicity for 'In Rainbows', EMI is releasing it as a 'Pay What We Say' digital download.

Posted by greg | February 11, 2008 5:48 PM

thank you! so overrated, seemingly uninspired, sounds like coldplay, i could go on...

radiohead craps on a plate, music critics eat it for lunch, then ask for seconds

i'm not saying in rainbows was terrible, just kind of pale in comparison to the rest of the radiohead catalog

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 5:49 PM

nah.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 5:50 PM

Couldn't radiohead put these songs up on their website for free download at the same time as the relase?

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 5:56 PM

why do we care if they (or their label) releases a greatest hits disc? they certainly have plenty of songs to put on it. it wouldn't be a stretch.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 6:03 PM

Anon 5:49 Thank You. Glad to know someone agrees with me on this.

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 6:11 PM

^^
that's just psycho babble

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 6:16 PM

Radiohead really hasnt put out anything very good since OK Computer. Thom Yorke's solo album was boring too...so was Hail to the Theif...most of Amnesiac...most of Kid A...

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 6:35 PM

6:35 is a Communist - obviously.

Posted by Sr. McCarthy | February 11, 2008 6:37 PM

Anon 6:35 - couldn't agree more.

Posted by CN | February 11, 2008 6:40 PM

how dare a company look out for its shareholders and try to make a profit as allowed by the contract they have with a band. Don't they know you're not supposed to make any money from music?

EMI is such a sellout!

Posted by Jojo Cabeesha | February 11, 2008 7:01 PM

As Thom Yorke said recently, Radiohead made more money from the on-line "pay as you like" release of In Rainbows than they did for the entire sales of all of their previous albums combined.
I think that says a little something about EMI.

Posted by nyctaper | February 11, 2008 7:08 PM

"that's just psycho babble"

Hey, "Psychobabble" is a song by the Alan Parsons Project! You down with APP?

Posted by Anonymous | February 11, 2008 10:19 PM

nyctaper- "As Thom Yorke said recently, Radiohead made more money from the on-line "pay as you like" release of In Rainbows than they did for the entire sales of all of their previous albums combined."

i sincerely doubt that's true unless they made their money 10x over with the last crap album.

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2008 12:09 AM

I'm underwhelmed by In Rainbows, too.

Posted by SaltnPepper | February 12, 2008 12:25 AM

Enjoy..

oh yeah thats a great one. All Points West is AUGUST 8 9 AND 10. You cant even look at The Hollywod Bowl schedule to get things right on that. And you are missing the Virginia Date on the 11th. Get it right on making fake things up or dont bother.

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2008 3:17 AM

Radiohead will headline all three nights of All Points West, performing 15 entirely different songs each night.

David Bowie, Jack Johnson, and Jesus Christ to support.

Posted by Monklish | February 12, 2008 3:45 AM

Dunkin Donuts Center is in Providence, RI!

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2008 6:37 AM

Liberty State Park is in New Jersey.

OMGZ RADIOHOAEAD TOOUR DATEIS!!!

Anyway...as for greatest hits thing, there's this thing called iTunes where I can make playlists n' stuff it's super fun. Also a greatest hits without In Rainbows fails (All I Need, Reckoner,4 Minute Warning..etc).

Posted by Les | February 12, 2008 9:57 AM

"sound like coldplay" ?? Even I know that's ridiculous.

Posted by Gwyneth Paltrow | February 12, 2008 10:07 AM

Radiohead sounds like Coldplay. Yes, and the Beatles sound like Badfinger, the Rolling Stones sound like J Geils, and James Brown sounds like the O'Jays.

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2008 10:25 AM

they're headlining 2/3 apw nights the third being headlined by jack johnson. guaranteed to be a snorefest. I'm leaving right after the go team.

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2008 10:29 AM

I believe Clostermann was right when he said Cold Play is just watered down Travis which is watered down Radiohead. This greatest hits shitshow was an inevitability. There is a special place in hell for EMi for this debaucherous behavior...
