Knitting Factory

According to NYC community board No.3's calendar, "Knitting Factory" applied for a "full liquor" license at 504-508 E 14th St. earlier this month. Will it be a new location because the current building is being sold? (thx david & drew)

word on the street is that they are actually looking to relocate in Brooklyn. Don't know how this plays into that.

a new Veselka on E 1st Street? That would be good.

That'd be perfect. I'm sick of the lack of options in these parts.

I believe that address 504-508 East 14th Street corresponds to the huge empty location that used to be Blum & Krup, a very long-time business in the area that used to sell all manners of electronics and appliances. Its quite a large store, and would be the only spot that makes any sense for venue like Knitting Factory.
