I love MSTRKRFT, but really, the CMJ show was fucking terrible.

I dig MSTRKRFT and it seems like it would be kind of hard to fuck up live. Was it the people there, the sound, or did they just drop the ball?

The thing about MSTRKRFT is, they sound better when your head isn't up your own ass.
Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2008 2:54 AM
fuck you all. mstrkrft is fantastic.

The thing about MSTRKRFT is that you can't go their shows expecting them to play all the songs from their first three albums: Homework, Discovery, and Human After All.... oh wait. Am I thinking of the wrong band?
Come on guys, if you want MSTRKRFT to sound like Daft Punk, go see Daft Punk. I mean, it makes sense. I've seen MSTRKRFT twice since December at two different Hollywood venues, and both times they've been phenomenal. Granted their sound is rather different from what you might expect: They don't pull a Justice and just play their entire LP from and pretend like they're modulating something. MSTRKRFT shows are very club oriented, and as such they attempt to create a club-like experience: You aren't going to hear them "play" Body Work from start to end: They mix their songs with hundreds of other artists' to keep a danceable beat going for hours, so if you're hoping for something else, just don't go. There's a difference between hating on a musician because you don't like their style, and because they are actually untalented. They know what they like to do, and I know that myself and a majority of my friends have fallen in love with it, so obviously they're doing something right.

you know its probably amazing if half the people here hate it so vehemently. not many things can solicit that much emotion.

you ignorant bastards mstrkrft is the truth. go listen to their bbc radio 1's essential mix and hate on that.

All you losers should just stop commenting on blogs thinking your all critics, if you dont like em, dont listen to them and if you like em, listen to them, it's that simple. Get off you fat asses and go for a walk or something, it's summer outside, go out and enjoy it and stop bein so negative towards stuff that you guys could never ever do in your lifetime, seriously...get a life
