Perez Hilton and Rachael Ray will each have a presence at SXSW this year (and so will at least 350 bands) (and BrooklynVegan too).

10 years ago when I went to UT, SXSW was already getting to that point that unless you were industry-folk lots of events were tough to get into to. nothing lasts forever....
