As much as I am big fans of some of the artists here, I really am quite hesitant to throw my endorsement into a group of people who seem to have a rather naive and misguided way about how the world works. There seems to be this holdover idea from the 1960's that we can some how just make war and violence go away by not responding militarily to terrorists. The sad fact of the matter is that there are truly evil, hateful people who have no interest in any sort of "peace process", and that they will not go away merely by turning the other cheek or singing peace songs. To paraphrase John Stuart Mill, was IS ugly, but an even uglier spectacle would be to live in fear and intimidation by a bunch of 7-th Century throwbacks who think their road to salvation is through blowing themselves and others up. I'm going to have to pass on this one...

"Yes! They do check your ID!

Do not listen to this fool. Yes they check id's but if you don't have id that matches the name because say you got them from one of your clients, as long as you know the cc information etc in which the tickets were purchased then there is no problem.

You would send your clients to an anti-war benefit? Sounds like a scalper to me.
speedstan @ 12:03 - take it over to the National Review blog, buddy.

No, I am not a scalper. I actually work in what's left of the music industry. We tend to take outside companies (i.e. P&G) to events in order to entertain them while discussing business. How do you think certain bands get into commercials, or how certain tours get sponsored...So Fuck Off Edwyn.

the world is doomed

Yo 4:15, taking some half-interested P&G asshole to a show like this is just as gross as scalping! Something tells me Antony ain't gonna be in no Tide commercial anytime soon. It's so miserable to be at a show completely engrossed and then have some lame-o, dragged there by their friend or something, staring at the ceiling, talking, texting and doing anything but paying attention or engaging with the performer.
Also, note that this is Brooklyn VEGAN. A number of those artists are vegan too, and the show is for an anti-war cause! P&G and their ilk are terrible about animal cruelty in labs and through parent companies and conglomerate structures, are also indirectly part of the "industrial military complex", to borrow a Godspeed! cliche.
John Mayer concerts and dinner at Tao are for corporate douchebag schmoozing, not fucking Antony and Lou Reed at an anti-war benefit. So you sir, can also fuck off, tacky ass motherfucker!
