Somewhat creepy that someone is taking a picture of Britt ordering a burrito.
Too bad that bill is skipping NYC. I guess the Walkmen are just going to hang out that night instead of playing.

note the Webster Hall date. Let's see how those tour dates get updated after that show happens.

Both Webster Hall and Terminal 5 are Bowery Presents venues. They might be added after the WH date.
Spoon's music is great, but they are a tad boring live. Can't imagine seeing them in a big venue.

Anon 1:47 - I must disagree. They were outstanding last year at Roseland, and I saw them twice in the last 3 years at Lollapalooza - both were very good sets.

I must also disagree. Spoon are horrible. Unless you're a Bill Joel fan. Personally, I prefer Huey Lewis.

what about a DC show? does this mean they're playing virgin fest

"Somewhat creepy that someone is taking a picture of Britt ordering a burrito."
That photo's from the band's official website.
James, more dates will be announced.

Those are some seriously ill-fitting jeans. Ew.

"isn't that Roberto's in San Diego??"
Yeah I'm pretty sure it is.

spoon was good a roseland, despite the supreme awfulness of said venue.

The Walkmen are over and Spoon are kind of only semi relevant these days
Where's the Terminal 5 hate ?

"Spoon are kind of only semi relevant these days"
Yeah. Because people give a shit about "relevance."
Just yesterday, I was looking at my record collection and said "Kill the Moonlight is a great record. Maybe I'll put it on." But I decided against listening to it because I question its relevance.
Fuck off.

I HATE TERMINAL 5>:[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes Kill The Moonlight is great but the last two show a dearth of new ideas...
Gimme Fiction & Ga Ga Ga Ga are like the same record
Posted by Ryan | February 20, 2008 10:40 PM
Yeah well i set up two stereos and played both Gimme Fiction and Ga Ga Ga Ga at the same time and suprisingly they sounded quite different from each other.

Ga was easily one of '07's best records. Too bad it's really lost relevance....
Does that make me irrelevant for liking it? I feel like such a poser.
Posted by Jonny | February 23, 2008 1:36 PM
"...a death of new ideas"?
Ga showed a fearless willingness to expand upon Spoon's sonic palette, songs structures and production techniques.
But that's just me...and all of that info is, of course, subject to loss of relevancy at press time....

Spoon is a colossal bore live, but The Walkmen may perhaps be the coolest band ever. And when I say cool, I mean in the Fred Sanford, Elizabeth I'm coming to join you, way.

looks like handsome furs are opening the terminal 5 show.
