Sidwalk Cafe

More than 50 songwriters, musicians, bands, spoken word artists and other performers from the world of Antifolk will take the stage of Sidewalk Café (94 Avenue A, NYC. Club Phone: 212-473-7373) for the 2008 Fortified Summer Antifolk Festival, running February 19-29. The Festival provides the opportunity to tap into a cross section of the creative and expressive musical community centered in the East Village. More information is available at www.antifolk.net.

Now in its 23rd year, Fortified Entertainment, an entertainment company run by Lach, presents the Antifolk Festival. This year we've been celebrating the success of Regina Spektor, The Moldy Peaches (#1 soundtrack in USA with Juno!) and the upcoming release of Lach's fifth album, The Calm Before (release date: March 25).

"The Fortified Winter Antifolk Festival is a giant, celebratory coming together of the Antifolk scene," said Lach. "Featuring both established performers such as The Humans, Major Matt Mason USA and Bendik as well as extremely talented up and comers such as Josh Fox and Emily Price, the Fest showcases the best and brightest of the scene. With Antifolk now a world-wide phenomenon the local flavor of the annual Fest has become a true and vital reminder of what the East Village has always been about."

Uh, hi, that's totally my photo of Creaky Boards from Flickr.

And it's totally marked as "all rights reserved." Do I get some sort of royalties from your advertising now?

Okay, I'm just being a bitch and don't actually mind.

It's a crappy photo, I would not own up to taking it (and actually publically posting it).

Its an extremely excellent photo of the backs of those two guys sitting in the chairs. There seems to be something happening in the background of the photo but its hard to tell with all the blurring.

True. Most of mine are crappy. Crappy camera, no photographic knowledge. I should be paying blogs to use them in the first place.
