A GBV hoot night? What a novel idea....for 2003.

The book is a pretty good read. I'd say it's more obsessive w/ GBV than any other band but seriously, why can't you name an indie rock book after a perfectly good record?

Are people really into Times New Viking? I've been listening, but haven't really been struck by them yet, and was wondering what other people thought. Is anybody really excited, or they just the next Serena Maneesh of p4k's Best New Music?

Don Pedro's used to be a pretty cool place. seedy dark Ecuadorian restaurante with a debaucherous basement and a really cheap bar. because they had a kitchen, they got away with all ages shows without any legal problems.
then the NY Times mentioned them and they got a bunch of hot air up their asses.
They raised the drink prices and started being big dicks to people at the shows. they started ripping off people who tried to put on shows there and eventually went 21+ just because underagers don't buy booze.
place sucks a lot now
