TMBG did two sets, an hour first set and a 75 minute second set. 2nd set had a full horn section, and they played Puppet Head, Purple Toupee and Mister Me for the oldies in the crowd. Sold out Beacon! What a night.

Deer Tick killed it last night. He played for over an hour: old stuff, new stuff, covers (I Left My Heart In San Francisco, La Bamba, and more). And as always, there was some really great banter. The other great performance at the Silent barn had to go to ex-Dirty Projector Nat Baldwin. It was like a mix of jazz, experimental, and pop. Their drummer (Will Glass?) was sick.

I also forgot Lupe Fiaso was at Nokia Theatre last night, and Edan played Knitting Factory.

Deer Tick were amazing. I don't think I've left a show feeling that uplifted in a while. What a great night.
