Weird - I never saw him on lolGays...

if it's not an announcement that REM is disbanding and Michael Stipe is going into self-imposed exile for the rest of his life, I don't care.

right on, man. they never did a thing for the amazing artists on your ipod, did they. wake up and pay your respects, you ungrateful cynic.
Posted by Anonymous | March 21, 2008 6:05 PM
that was pretty funny.

REM is a great band who hasnt made a great album since 92 with Automatic for the People. The new album is good but a grower. severely lacking emotion. Still some really good highlights. I'll take what I can get. Song 2 rocks...

was that necessary?

heheh it's cute

stipey is so fucking adorable, this is hilarious (I'd like to have seen his bandmates' reactions). I will always be happy whenever I hear/see this band. I'm lucky to have been alive at the same time they've been making music.

Maybe you two can go shopping together!

How very unfunny can you get?

The cheesy straight people here should go reproduce or buy a condo or whatever it is they do.
Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2008 4:58 AM
"was that necessary?"
Yeah really! Why do straights shove their sexuality in our faces?
Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2008 10:08 AM
That was funny...R.E.M. is a great band. Accelerate is AMAZING! By the way, New-Adventures in Hi-Fi and Up are soooooooooo underated!!But I guess that's what happens when you make 14 albums and a few masterpieces in your career. Not everything can compare to Murmur, Life's rich pageant or Automatic, but Accelerate is up there with the other great ones. Living well is the best revenge is actualy my favourite song of 2008. Who will beat it?

>Yeah really! Why do straights shove their sexuality in our faces?
Your sexuality is boring and so is mine. Get over it.

stipe and co. did this because every time they come out with an album, without fail, some fucking idiot journalist "discovers" michael is gay and "outs" him in the press. it just shows how clueless (or lazy) some of the press still is about REM--after 25 years. pretty funny stuff.

R.E.M. are pretty damn solid and have been for the last 28 Years! Go R.E.M.!

"New-Adventures in Hi-Fi and Up are soooooooooo underated!!"
Agreed.
Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2008 11:18 PM
New Adventures in HI-FI is the alt-rock Exile on Main St.
And UP is a prog-folk-pop masterpiece--it sounds like the Beach Boys covering OK Computer.

i guess the cat's outta the bag, huh?
