last night was my first Beth Orton show and i thought it was great. her voice is as amazing as you'd expect, she really puts everything she has into the performances. some of her guitar playing was a little sloppy, but that's expected when it's your first tour in 2 years. she admitted to being quite nervous but really seemed to her her stride about 20-30mins into the show. lots of songs from her last studio record, plus a lot of the "hits" i expected. she's also quite nice about taking a few requests. anyone going to the Hiro shows should enjoy themselves.

I've heard that she's playing Celebrate Brooklyn this summer

Beth was very funny last nite. Telling us that having a baby makes you lose part of your memory and for her it was how to tune the guitar.

Great set-believe she did just about the entire last album with plenty of older tunes mixed in. She also did a cover of a Fred Neil(old folk artist) song called the dolphins which is a great old tune.

Anyone have the setlist from the 7PM show last night? I know it was pretty much the entire last album...the other songs I think were Someone's Daughter, Paris Train, She Cries Your Name...can't remember the rest. Great set! Hope that Celebrate Brooklyn rumor is true!
