ex-HOT SNAKES: Obits & The Night Marchers - Tour Dates
The Night Marchers

Brooklyn band Obits is playing Brooklyn venue Union Hall tonight (March 8). Advanced tickets are sold out, but Union Hall's website says "tickets MAY be available at showtime". Why did that show sell out so fast? Because...
It's post post-Hot Snakes mania these days! Fresh on the heels of John Reis' (guitar genius of Hot Snakes) new band, The Night Marchers, comes Rick Froberg (singer/guitar genius of Hot Snakes) back into the fray. Obits is Froberg's "new" band, but they're not really new considering they've been practicing in secret since Hot Snakes' 2005 demise.Tickets are on sale for a Night Marchers show at Mercury Lounge in NYC on May 7th. All tour dates below...Obits just played their first ever show at The Cake Shop in NYC in January of 2008. They were the openers and packed out the venue like no other opener could... [Ohmyrockness]

"obits live tracks are better than the nightmarchers lp"
How do you know? The album hasn't been released or even released yet. I've seen both bands live, they both rock.

What did you guys think of the UH Obits show? Soiled Mattress and The Springs were awesome, they did something different! Obits and the Rick Froberg crew will forever rock. Good times.

The new Obits song was great. I recorded the first show, which has been circulating the net, but didn't this time around because of technical issues.
The Night Marchers LP has already been delayed because it wasn't finished. Don't really think it has been leaked. I saw their first two shows, and Speedo is back to kicking ass again. Nice to see Gar back on guitar again. Can't wait for the Mercury Lounge show.
