I saw them at Mercury Lounge for a bit before Lightspeed. Quite good. I hadn't heard of them before. Do they have a record?

They are playing with The Subjects. Yay!

They have a new album. I got it on other music digi store. It's really fucking solid. like part Ra Ra Riot, part spoon, part Paul McCartney...But totally its own thing too. Plus you gotta dig the silly accents.

eh. they were real charming at the mercury lounge the other night and they seem like such nice guys. But man, their music was really fucking boring. Nothing going on there at all.

"They seemed charming and like nice guys but their music was boring" ?? Are you kidding me? Just cause it's not loops and drony vocals or a pixie elf with a harp doesn't mean it's boring. Its only fault could be that it's earnest, but that's endearing at worst. To say there's nothing going on at all is a pretty fucking boring statement, so there! I was at the show and thought it was quite good...But I guess to each his own.

Not to be xenophobic but all this ESL pop is starting to annoy me...probably as much as it would to a European if an American band sung poorly in Swedish or French....

esl pop? what the fuck is esl pop? these guys are great...live too. i saw them kill after dinosaur jr in paris last summer at a huge festival, and they sounded far better than the shins did who played earlier that day. they sell out crowds the size of the bowery in europe, with good reason.

Good tune. I would see them based on that and what I have read.
