Im From Barcelona

Tickets are (still) on sale for two upcoming NYC-area I'm From Barcelona shows in April. The band from Sweden is playing Maxwell's before they play Coachella and then coming back to the area to play the Brooklyn Masonic Temple after Coachella (and a couple other California shows). The Brooklyn show also has Thao with The Get Down Stay Down (who is currently on tour with Xiu Xiu) on the bill and is only $10 (before fees) because Boost Mobile and NY Magazine are sponsors, BUT I have no idea what this means:

Bonus:
New York Magazine is including a 1-year (46 issues) subscription, a $7 value, with your ticket purchase.
*A welcome notice will be mailed to you from New York magazine with customer service information as well as an option to obtain a $7 refund, the value of the magazine, if you prefer not to subscribe.
The subscription worth $7.00 is free, but you can get $7.00 back if you don't want the magazine? Or by buying a $10 ticket, you are really agreeing that you will subscribe for $7.00 unless you mail for the refund?.....All dates below.....

Can they fit all of them on the stage at Maxwell's? I don't think so.....

i don't really get why the brooklyn masonic temple show is 21+. i know a lot of fans who are younger than that.

^^ haha yeah they maxwell stage is incredible small..
should make for an interesting show
and i pretty much dont get 21+ shows for bands who have majority of their fans under 21. fuck legality.

I declined the NY Mag subscription to a Of Montreal Show/Karaoke show they sponsored and had a difficult time getting my money back. Ended up taking several months due to their incompetence.

They were shitty at Lolla last year.

F*king ugly lead singer. Novelty songs. BLEH.

I already have two subcriptions to ny magazine. These promotions are so annoying. I think they're violating some kind of consumer act.

"and i pretty much dont get 21+ shows for bands who have majority of their fans under 21."

I don't know any fans of IFB that are under 21. The majority are older.

yea, seriously...why would anyone want something for free when you can pay for it.

Did anyone buy tickets to the Masonic Lodge show and have another weird charge show up on their credit card for 24.95? I'm wondering if NYMag charged me too...

Holy crap! I don't think I ever got mine. I completely forgot about it.

And they were awesome at Lolla last year. It's nice to see a band that doesn't take itself too seriously and is just having a good time.
