Eddie, Back From Somewhere In Time

You had a giant set made to look like a pyramid tomb, a setlist of songs from the 80s, old dudes in leather pants and cut-off tees, multiple costume changes, pyro, coordinated guitar line dances, the guitar-as-machine-gun poses, and fog machines galore (with all the fog on stage, I half-expected the guys to break out into "Stonehenge").

The Trooper

As a sum of those parts, it is easy to see how Iron Maiden's March 14th show at the Izod Center could have been utter "fromage", but when you are dealing with a band as tight as Maiden, a fanbase as rabid as theirs, and a setlist culled from the elite of arguably the best era of their career, you can only expect an excellent show (which it definitely was).

Explosions

In related news, May 13th will see the release of Somewhere Back In Time, a "best of the 80s" comp that will be offered as a free download of "high quality WMA files" that expire after three plays. It comes out on CD the same day. Check it out and then work them vertebrae at one of their newly announced shows (an extension of the previously mentioned tour) including one night at MSG in NYC (on June 15) and another at PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ (on June 14). A Fan Club only presale begins today (3/19) at 10AM, a ticketmaster presale begins Friday (password=rock), and tickets go on regular sale on Saturday (3/22).

THREE guitar players? Who is that other guy?

Posted by Anonymous | March 19, 2008 9:11 AM

That looks awesome. Anyone have the presale pw?

Posted by Anonymous | March 19, 2008 9:25 AM

Guitar player #3 is Janick Gers, he joined them in the 90s after a stint with Bruce Dickinson. Obviously, guitarists 2 and 3 are Dave Murray and Adrian Smith.

Iron Maiden is one of my favourite bands to whom I’ve great passion because their way of singing is so special. For a long time and this band is making efforts to improve music from their own perspective. The band’s fans are so great and I feel happy to consider myself as of them. I always do my best to attend heir concerts but sometimes I can’t afford some prices. But lately a friend, who’s Iron Maiden fan too, has recommended me a site where to compare ticket prices before booking. I really find it a great idea because this way I can look for the cheapest prices offered.

Any way, if you love this band you may agree with what I’m saying if not I don’t want to hear you saying something bad about them.

Clearly - these guys haven't slowed down (and they all still have their hair!). Great show, brought my 14 year old son, who's only exposure to them has been their music on his video games - he was blown away!

Cars and houses are quite expensive and not every person is able to buy it. But, home loans are created to aid different people in such kind of hard situations.

Eastmond broke into the arsenal first team at the age of 19 and not just the carling cup and the FA cup but the EPL.
Eastmond wouldn’t have been able to do if he wasn’t a real talented player and I think its hard of an 18-19 year old to really command the game even Fabregas wasn’t able to do that
Coquelin doesn’t have the physical ability to command the DM position.
Denilson is progressing well I think he know how to attack and now he’s learning how to defend. Thank you for sharing :)

Course papers seem to be not simple to manage with and because of it people order A level coursework in the web.
