That's fantastic news! It's actually quite sad that I'm stoked it's at Nokia.

HOLY SHIT nokia! WOW! awesome! saw them at beacon a few years back. this should be good.

that's the wrong cover to hold,
Discipline would be the correct one.

Danidin I don't think you get the idea of sleeveface which is a funny awesome phenomenon unto itself.

I am intrigued that they are calling this tour "The Return Of The Beast Celebration Shows". Are they really going to dip into catalog and play some sort of hits show?

That would be incredible!

does what it says on the tin, innit.

The only really good lineup was with wetton and bruford, imo

sleeveface is very funny indeed but still this
is the wrong cover in that case.
this line up is great, had 3 fantastic albums and
amazing live shows.
has nothing to do with any of the privious line ups, no need to compare, that is a different band
that kept the domain for few reasons.
for my friends, a post-punk / new wave ole generation they were probably the only link
to the art-rock that was before.

oh god, there is only one kid i know that has ever like king crimson/adrian belew. i always heard him talk about them, yet i never listened. always made fun. hes such a silly kid, i wouldnt trust his taste in music much.
this post has no point.

love all the lineups of king crimson.
can't wait for these shows.

Gavin Harrison is an intersting addition.

For those of you who do not know, Gavin Harrison is one of todays elite progressive rock drummers. He currently drums for Porcupine Tree. I had the rare opportunity to talk with Bill Bruford a few years back for my website, and Bill spoke very highly of Gavin. Bill actually said about Gavin that he is a much more technically accomplished drummer than he is. This is going to be an awesome concert. As much as I am a true die-hard Bruford fan, I'm really excited about seeing Gavin drum with KC!

Hey Guys!

Why not do a few nights at the Calvin Theatre in Northhampton, MA or even Boston (not the Orpheum)
somewhere good?

By the way , in my humble estimation , there has never been a bad lineup of Crimson! That includes everybody from Keith Tippet Group Crimso from Lizard / Islands to Boz/Fripp/Ian/Mel Islands lineup in "71!
Hold up the inside cover man!
Are they doing anything old? I mean I love the current line up but I would love to see Robert or Adrian pull out an acoustic and play Cirkus with the whole band or Lady of the Dancing Water
or In the Court.... oh, I better go lie down...

KING CRIMSON..............I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM BUT TRAVELING TO NY OR PHILLY OR CHICAGO IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. HOW COME THEY NEVER PLAY NEAR THE SOUTHEAST. THERE ARE A LOT OF FANS HERE. DISCIPLINE AND BEAT ARE MY TWO FAVORITES. HARD TO COMPARE THEM WITH ANYTHING..........

Saw the band tonight in Nashville in a 300 seat theater. TOTALLY AWESOME! Definitely go see this tour if you can!

just got back from seeing the 1st nokia show Fripp hides behind his stack all freakin night you never see him play the guitar all anybody sees is the top of his head when the band comes to stand together for a bow at the end of the show and after the encores Fripp again is a total prick he stands way on the side almost offstage clapping at the rest of the band like an idiot the band was great but what fripp pulled was total crap

Posted by don van vliet | August 14, 2008 11:44 PM

i sat in the forth row center and could see fripp behind the equipment stacks... he was having a good time... laughing and making eye contact with tony and belew... who cares if he takes center stage and plays guitar behind his back or with his tongue or hides behind equipment... he shuns the limelight, he's a great legendary player and belew took center stage and the whole band rocked... with tony on bass it was like three lead guitars on stage...
