no "The Slits and/or Fucked Up" ++ 3 more Slits Tour Dates
Red 7, Austin, TX - March 12, 2008
Our Wednesday day party got fucked up, or I should say DIDN'T get Fucked Up. It didn't get the Slits either as you can see from the sign we had posted at the door of Red 7 last Wednesday in Austin (March 12, 2008). At least we never advertised F'd Up (they cancelled before we designed the flyer). The Slits cancelled the night before. I didn't even know until I got there. Oh well.
As far as I know The Slits did then go on to play the rest of their SXSW shows, and they probably played all their shows since SXSW too, and they'll most likely play the three more they have to go - two of which are in the NYC area very soon. Dates below....

dude, i just saw the slits in chicago. ari up is one crazy lady, calling herself legendary 3 times in the first 15 minutes, asking the audience for "eye grade" and then telling the girls she called up to sing back up for typical girls that they never got it right. it was like if leslie hall was not a joke. she was even wearing gold lame pants!

Fucked Up didn't show up to Todd P's thing at Ms Bea's either. they're just flakes with overbooked schedules.

Ari probably is a musical genius and the Slits music is still groundbreaking and ahead of its time today....but Ari is not living on this planet and her inability to relate to people even on a basic level might explain why this brilliant music never reached the mass audience it deserved.....
