The Boston show goes on sale April 5th (http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/317558/)

I'd assume NYC/Jones Beach will go on sale around then as well.

"First time will see Modest Mouse&National."

You sound like Kostya from 25th Hour. Funny you should say that.

their new single is punk-pop magic. after 25 years they're still capable of rocking (granted, the last couple of albums were popular at old folks homes).

glad to see them energized and vital again.

I gotta say that I actually enjoyed Around the Sun and UP.Both albums made good soundtracks to cold and dark nyc winters for me.

But the new single does have the magic of their earlier pop-punk songs and is very catchy.

FWIW, I saw a news item online earlier tonight that said Michael Stipe told Us magazine he's gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Posted by Anonymous | March 19, 2008 12:27 AM

No friggin way.

stipe came out to his friends and family about 25 years ago, and in the press he mentioned his sexual preferences in 1995 for the first time in the press and publicly.

i agree that around the sun and up are great, too. up even more so.

"Walk Unafraid" is such a great song stipe wrote about that.

Interesting new Q&A with Michael in Billboard magazine
