The Raveonettes play Bowery Ballroom in NYC tonight (March 26, 2008). Last night they were on Letterman, before that they played Maxwell's, and earlier this month they played a bunch of shows in Austin for SXSW. Photos from one of those shows, and the Letterman video, below....

The sound at that Emo's show was SO BAD -- way too much bass/subwoofer -- it was the only show at SXSW where I used my earplugs... I was only able to stay for 15 minutes. Great band, though; happy for their success

Never liked these guys before, but the new album is really doing it for me. Jesus and Mary Chain (as before), but more Everly Brothers and Angelo Badalamenti in the mix these days. Good stuff.

new album is the best so far. show at emo's was excellent. they should just give it up, though, and play "never understand"
