Did anyone else hear a band playing at the L stop at Union Square around 5.30 pm? They were great - 5 or 6 guys at the end of the stop. Anyone know who they were?

"Chris Thile will perform a special solo set tonight at New York's intimate performance space The Living Room as part of a monthlong tenth-anniversary celebration of the club. Chris's set is scheduled to kick off at 11:30 PM, following a number of other performances beginning at 7:30 PM at the Lower East Side venue.

The tenth-anniversary celebration began last night with a tribute to the music of Elvis Costello and continues through April 4 with performances by Norah Jones, Ron Sexsmith, Jesse Harris, Joseph Arthur, Joan as Police Woman, and Ollabelle.
