Jim Noir is in town from the UK. He took part in the Living Room 10th Anniversary celebration last night, and he's playing a last minute free show at Sound Fix tonight at 7pm - right before the Cassettes Won't Listen/Diggs show.

MusicSnobbery announced that he's throwing a show to celebrate his 3rd anniversary (not tonight). The Teeth, Salt & Samovar, and La Laque are all playing the April 10th show at Maxwell's.

Heartonastick is listing 53 reasons to hate Vampire Weekend. Check out Part 1.

I'll be there. Her seated Hammerstein show two years ago was above and beyond all my expectations. Her voice had not aged a bit. Nothing else worth seeing when she is playing, but I will try to catch Sons & Daughters afterwards.

And right, let's boo the legends we cannot afford seeing and go see some crappy indie bands and rave about them.

Im psyched to see Cassettes Won't Listen tonight, I hear the show is solid

Is Aretha Franklin that good? Her recorded material from the '60s and '70s is amazing, but anything from the '80s on is just atrocious.

Worth the price?

If you have to ask a question that dumb then you have no business being at that show even if the ticket price was 10 dollars.

I was not at SXSW, but saw Jim Noir at the Living Room last night. If you like him, you'll have a great time I think.

I'm also going to Aretha. I disagree with the atrociuous comment, but I agree they don't compare to her earlier material, which is usually the case for most artists. She will do mostly her 60s and 70s material. Ticket price is not too high compared to what other similar artists charge. It'll be worth it.
