are you serious? Vampire Weekend completely ripped off Paul Simon who was influenced by African music, which this is.

Are you sure about that? I could've sworn it was the other way around with Vampire Weekend spawning Paul Simon who in turn gave birth to Afro Pop as well as traditional Pygmy contrapuntal communal vocal improvisation. But if you're certain, I stand corrected.
