who cares?

As an NYU student, I'd like to tell these bastards to never step foot in Manhattan if they don't let my smelly pussy into this show.
My taxes pay for your Wu-Tang.

Fordham is a private school, jackass. Stay in the East Village.

for those non-students considering going, be forewarned that no one is admitted onto the campus (which is fenced off around its entire perimeter) without a student ID. However, it's pretty easy to find sympathetic students who will vouch for you as a guest and maybe more who will find a way to get you into the actual concert which, although outdoors, is behind a different (though more easily breachable) barrier.

Fordham could of had the Flaming Lips. They just didn't want to pony up the extra $10,000....

What's the word on Secret Machines these days?
Are they any good without the guitar player?

ghostface requested 4 extra wireless mics im hoping that means hes bringing some guests
Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2008 11:28 AM
Anon 6:06, I've heard some bad things but I'm still hopeful.

"ghostface requested 4 extra wireless mics im hoping that means hes bringing some guests"
Yeah, the three hype men he always performs with.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2008 5:11 PM
It wasn't canceled. Just ended.

"what a letdown"
what was?

"i've heard the new TSM record. face-melting."
I find that hard to believe
Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2008 6:15 PM
I heard from a couple of Fordham students that it was a letdown.

The show was way better than any of the past Spring Weekend shows; ie: Third Eye Blind, Yellowcard, etc. However, the show wasn't anything great. Ghostface did play some old gems, but it was pretty underwhelming. Also, the show ended pretty abruptly. Pretty good for Fordham standards, but still nowhere near a "great" show.
PS. We should of gotten Ying Yang Twins and Andrew WK.

how much did Ghostface get paid?
Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2008 8:49 PM
they got paid
Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2008 9:32 PM
the fordham crowd simply wasn't into it and ghost wasn't gonna waste his energy on a crowd that was more interested in talking to eachother. the show was underwhelming to say the least
Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2008 11:32 PM
All this talk about Ghost and how "underwhelming" his performance was and how "the show ended pretty abruptly" but did TSM play?
Posted by b.LOUD | April 27, 2008 5:56 AM
Anon 5:11, when is it coming out? I really want to hear this now.
Posted by michaelways | April 27, 2008 12:44 PM
tsm put on a pretty decent show. they were a little low in energy but i was impressed. i'd never heard them before but had a couple moments during their show that i def wanted to rock the fuck out. i don't think anyone at fu knew who was on the stage when tsm was on, they didn't really seem to care at all. fordham kinda sucks for concerts though (other than rodrigues/ the ramskeller for smaller shows like the xiu xiu/ thao show last month)

"PS. We should of gotten Ying Yang Twins and Andrew WK."
You should HAVE gotten a better education than that ungrammatical sentence indicates you got.
Posted by SUNY Purchase student | April 27, 2008 1:12 PM
PS: not only is our education more than adequate, but fordham assumes that we are able to put together grammatical sentences before enrolling at the university level, so they don't really bother teaching that. And, yeah, GFK was a little bit of a let down but that's still a pretty cool guy to have performing for a private school in the bronx.
