they do put on a killer live show, strobe lights and all.

ugh. i REALLY wanted to like their live show, and was excited for it going in, but it sucked.
the light show was horrible. it was the same unbearable intensity the entire time. no matter what the song, no matter what the tempo, the lights and lasers were full blast the whole time. really hard to watch.

maybe they learned their lesson with light show? ive see ghostland show before and it was a bit intense. one of those were you're happy to get out on the street afterwards.
not so sure celebrate BK is the right venue for ghostland. but if its free who can complain...
oh right, me and other snarky BV posters.

Bear Hands are amazing though... so go and see them

What?? This should was off the hook. Super fun and whacky. Loved it; we danced up a robotic, bi-sexual storm. I mean, c'mon, it wasn't that intense if you were up in it. Maybe if you were sitting on a blanket and smoking, it wouldn't be your thing.

The vocals were way too fucking loud! Gave me a headache!

Ahhh yes the typical Hipster reviews. It was too loud, the lights weren't cool, it gave me a headache, they've been discovered now, they're too commercial, people were dancing and having fun and drinking beer, they wanted me to donate $3 at the gate.... Boohoo

WAHHHHH!!
They wanted me to get involved, dance, sing, have a good time. There should be classes for folks like you on how to give it up and let go!

I love Ghostland Obsevatory! Yeah, they are not for everyone. But I've meet a lot of real fans and they are all awesome and of all ages. Their lazers just depends on the size of the stage. Check out videos from Coachella 2009.
