Seeing Gilberto Gil a few years ago was the biggest letdown ever! Gal Costa was a close second. Most of these awesome 60's Brazilian artists reinvented themselves in the late 70's as fusion crap & never looked back. To make it worse, Gil threw some reggae in there too. So yeah, reggae/jazz fusion. Absolute shit - and I'm a huge Brazilain music fan & I went with an open mind. I knew this wasn't gonna be some psychedelic Tropicalia show but I did expect to enjoy at least some of it.

Ive seen Gilberto a couple of times in recent years and noone with an open mind and any sense of quality musicianship and showmanship could ever call one of his shows "Absolute shit".
You fail at being a critic.
