Grizzly Bear going on tour with Radiohead in August?
Grizzly Bear @ Walt Disney Concert Hall, March 1, 2008 (LA Weekly)

Hiro tells me that Radiohead will now announce their August 2008 North American tour dates on Monday, and the rumor is that Grizzly Bear will be opening. That makes sense since Thom Yorke played Grizzly Bear on the radio recently, and Grizzly Bear was just added to All Points West (the only NYC-area stop on Radiohead's tour).
Grizzly Bear is also playing BAM in Brooklyn. Radiohead is also touring North America in May. All known August cities and dates below....
Radiohead - August 2008 TOur Dates
Fri August 8 All Points West Festival New York, NY
Sat August 9 All Points West Festival New York, NY
Fri August 22 Outside Lands Festival San Francisco, CA
Boston, MA
Chicago, IL (Lollapalooza?)
Cleveland, OH
Indianapolis, IN
Los Angeles, CA
Montreal Canada
Philadelphia, PA
San Diego, CA
Santa Barbara, CA
Seattle, WA
Toronto Canada
Vancouver Canada

It would be cool but its not real until Radiohead put something up on their website.
Just because Grizzly Bear are playing All Points West doesn't mean they are touring with Radiohead. Its a local festival for them.

well I'm not saying it cant be true, I'm saying it isn't officially true until Radiohead say so. Its just a rumor until then.

As confirmed by Radiohead's publicist, Grizzly Bear will open some of the quintessential Oxford quintet's upcoming U.S. shows. We don't know which ones quite yet, so you should probably purchase tickets to all of them, just to be on the safe side.
there. whiners

Seattle is August 20 at the White River Ampitheater. This is not close to playing "in the city" and the traffic getting in and out of that place is horrid. So much for reducing the enviromental impact. Source for this info was KNRK radio out of portland.
