another photo that could probably use a good caption....

Janes Addiction

Lead Singer Perry Farrell (R) and guitarist Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction perform at the 2008 NME Awards USA at El Rey theatre in Los Angeles April 23, 2008. The original line-up of the rock band took the stage for the first time in 17 years.
"Perry Farrell" is also playing Coachella at 2pm on Sunday. According to PerryFarrell.net, it will just be a "live electro set with Carl and Etty." Perry + Carl + Etty = Satellite Party, but maybe they don't want to call it that anymore since according to Wikipeda Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt is now a "former member". "Satellite Party" played Coachella last year.

Of course with a Perry on the bill you never know what could happen, and with this reunion and all, there are rumors (which are more than likely not true).

This wasn't televised, was it?

Posted by yo mama | April 24, 2008 11:17 AM

no station would televise this.

Maybe Eric Avery left because he was the only member of the band that refused to sleep with Perry.

Bunch o' snarky queens, this lot.

how about...Who Cares?

I'm old enough to have seen Jane's when they toured with Nothing's Shocking. They were a phenomenal live band back then. Much better suited to a small venue.

What did they play? Did they sound tight?

So irrelevant to this day and age.

Ain't no wrong now, ain't no right.

There's a video of ocean size on youtube, but it's very blair witch in quality, and the sound is awful. Oh, well. Hopefully something better will surface.

The awards show was horrible since it was just a bunch of drunk LA/British hipsters. Jane's was great though and hope something could actually happen here.

I have links to videos for Mountain Song and Ccean Size here on my blog The Spielster.

Coachella is a possibility, but where would they squeeze them in. Lolla is a better option, since Perry will doubly profit for it and I don't think they would waste a reunion on a hush hush thing at Coachella. Residents of LA watch out.

they played stop and mountain song, then NME stopped airing. looked like they were gonna do more songs. would love to see it

I remember walking around the Village as a teenager seeing flyers for their shows around town. Must have been during the NS era. Of course back then you didn't have the internet to expose other types of music. If your friends didn't have it, you couldn't get to it.

Wish I would have gone back then.

you old guys are something amazing. I saw Jane's Addiction back in the day too and like someone said, who cares?

plus Navarro, after that rock star show of his, no credibility left.

Well how old are you, spanky? And why should anyone here give a flying fuck what your opinion is? Feel free to offer up any and all of your amazing listening suggestions, as well.

Posted by yo mama | April 24, 2008 2:29 PM

yeah, really spike, you can hardly find a show these days that compare to a janes show back in the day. cmon, gives us one? what do you got?

man, anthony keidis and flea sure look different in this pic... but just as gay as ever - oh wait -...

Posted by Anonymous | April 24, 2008 3:23 PM

Is that a Lous Vitton guitar strap?
And is Perry wearing a designer body stocking?

there was a time I would have argued these guys could have held their own with Led Zeppelin. No I don't think I'd put up a fight if you said the Wiggles were the better band.

think about it...what else do these fags have to do other than reform, wear eyeliner, and suck each other's cocks backstage after playing 'standing in the shower thinking'?

oh wait...get paid one last time so that they can pay for their drug habit and international male bill
