Think I'll probably just go to the beach that weekend.

Posted by Ehhh | April 22, 2008 12:54 PM

Was hoping for less favor of the month bands (Vampire Weekend/ODeath) and less lame electronic acts (Dan Deacon/Crystal Castles). Do people actually like any of these acts or does everyone just want say they like these acts?

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 12:57 PM

$2 a ticket? ... make that $42!

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 12:59 PM

will be recovering from and reflecting on the my morning jacket show on the beach that weekend, thank you very much.

At what point will you acknowledge that, though you may not care for him personally, there are a lot of people who really like Dan Deacon and enjoy his shows immensely? Again, maybe it's not for you, but you look sorta foolish calling him "flavor of the month" for, say, 13 consecutive months.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:02 PM

I actually called him a lame electronic act, not flavor of the month.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:03 PM

What time does Daft Punk go on?

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:04 PM

I stand corrected. However, my bigger picture point still stands.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:05 PM

gogol bordello is awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:05 PM

Ahhh.. let the bitching begin!

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:05 PM

Dan Deacon helps weed out the people that don't like fun. Therefore this festival should be fun.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:09 PM

Saturday looks to be the best.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:09 PM

does it really cost $2 per ticket?

Posted by James Snuka | April 22, 2008 1:11 PM

I would rather have fun getting kicked in the teeth tonight at Jay Reatard than have to listen to the awful noise that Dan Deason creates. Also, there are lot of bands where you can see them and have fun without having to listen to crap music.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:16 PM

it's 32 bucks a ticket if you actually try and process it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:19 PM

just go to after the jump instead, free, local, better acts...

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:31 PM

"just go to after the jump instead, free, local, better acts..."

Did they announce the lineup? Last year's lineup was terrible. It was basically filled with bands that are friend's with bloggers. Can anyone remember one band (besides APTBS)?

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:37 PM

Dan Deacon and Crystal Castles together. This will be the best show ever.

I think people that don't like this are over 40 crowd. Dont listen to them. Or maybe, yeah listen to them it will be better to get all crazy to two of my favorite bands without haters around

Drexel University campus? where the hell is it and how do you get there?

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 1:49 PM

west philly, dog. hit up chris' pizza at 37th & brandywine shit is pure dirt dog style but you get a mean cheesesteak fries and soda for like $6.50 and there is no human who can eat the whole thing.

that same block is also an ideal place to get your car windows broken.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 2:03 PM

they announced line-up yesterday.

i think pattern is movement & a spank rock dj are on there.

forget the rest. looked decent.

>>Drexel University campus? where the hell is it and how do you get there?<<

What the fuck--are you Jay Retard??? Use the fucking computer you used to WRITE this stupid message and find out for yourself!! Dumbass.

So not liking electronic "dance" music makes someone a part of the over 40 crowd? Are you serious?

People who actually are interested in good music rejoice. The hipsters are taking this electronic revival serious and our rock shows will once again be enjoyable.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 2:38 PM

people who don't like Dan Deacon are in the over 20 crowd.

anyone who's been to one of todd p's art school mixers can attest to this.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 2:45 PM

this is at Drexel? i remember in high school getting so frustrated at them for sending me so much shit in the mail that i swore i wouldn't ever even think about going there...i guess one weekend on that campus wouldn't kill me

Posted by joe | April 22, 2008 2:52 PM

Dan Deacon is awful.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 2:52 PM

i don't understand people who are on brooklynvegan and refer to others as hipsters. look in the mirror.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 3:02 PM

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 5:03 PM

Posted by petebfd | April 22, 2008 5:08 PM

just to let everyone know we got voted the ugliest campus in the united states soo um yea.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 8:00 PM

is this area around the campus reasonably safe to walk around at night?

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2008 4:45 PM

what are you, 15?

Posted by Anonymous | April 24, 2008 2:33 AM

Hey all you vegans and vegetarians! If any of you are coming into Philly for this show, our non-profit a.r. group is going to be doing veg outreach outside the show and would love your help! If you're interested drop me an email ( nick@thehumaneleague.com ) or call me at 484-904-6004. We'll be doing outreach from 11:30 to 1 as people are going in, and possible during the afternoon or evening as the show lets out.
