saturday show added for Raconteurs
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 12:10 PM
if i knew they were going to add a show i would have preferred the saturday date
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 12:11 PM
This proves people don't mind Terminal 5 (Even at the $50 price after service charge!). If soooo many people hate it there would still be tickets left!

what is terminal 5 comparable to ? roseland?
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 12:16 PM
It has a large open floow with 3 levels.. Kind of more like Hammerstein in terms of layout but no seats upstairs just standing room.

Second night added on Sat, fyi

no, i still hate terminal 5, but i want to see the raconteurs enough that i'll put up with a shitty venue.
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 12:18 PM
the people who dont mind terminal 5 are the kids. for most shows terminal 5 is all shows, and for most youngins' this is the first opportunity to catch the band in a venue that will let them in.
notice how the spoon show, which is 18 and over, isn't sold out yet.

"if i knew they were going to add a show i would have preferred the saturday date"
buy an extra pair for saturday and then resell them ones for friday.that's what I just did ;)

I think it depends on where u stand in T5. I've been dead center in front of the stage and loved it. But at the back sound starts to get shitty.

"This proves people don't mind Terminal 5 (Even at the $50 price after service charge!). If soooo many people hate it there would still be tickets left!"
This does not prove anything. The Raconteurs have one of the best albums out there right now. They are very popular (in part due to Jack White being in the band.) Of course the shows are going to sell out. This does not mean people don't mind Terminal 5. Two people from work got tickets for this and they had not even heard of Terminal 5 before. There are a lot of people who skip shows they would otherwise see, just because it is at Terminal 5. After Roseland, it is the second worst venue in the city and the sound is bad to terrible depending on the night.

No, this proves that the only people who really care who dumbasses like ourselves who whine on internet message boards. Normal sane people don't really care as long as they get to see the band they like in a (moderately) small club.

oh jack white's in the band?!?!?!?!
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 12:26 PM
Oh I see...Magically all of a sudden it is all new people going to Terminal 5. I get it. Whatever fits the argument. Sure lot of people will be there for the first time and so will lots of people who have been there many many times.

Yes, because only people 18 & over have any right to see bands in small venues.

Is it bad that I hate people under-18? Annoying adolescent concert chatter and obnoxious text messaging. I actually abstained from the T-5 show for this very reason. But, truth be told, I am a curmudgeon.

i just pooped my pants.

yeah and they kids always line up ridiculously early (do they not have anything else better to do after school), and hang out in huge groups, usually on the floor. even though they make up usually the first half of the floor, thankfully though ,they're usually pretty short, thus making looking over them not too much of a hassle.
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 12:41 PM
only insane people whine about Terminal 5 (the handful of freaks who constantly hit refresh on this site so they don't miss a chance to talk shit for one reason or another). For normal people, it's fine.

Anon 12:42 is cranky!

So what? I bet you did the same thing as a kid. I enjoy having youngsters there. They dance, jump around, have fun as opposed to the old "cool" mid-twenty-something people (like myself) who just stand there and are bitter about others having fun.

The only issue I have with kids is that for some reason, they like to sit on the floor between acts. WTF? When this behavior become popular? I can almost understand seeing older people sitting down, but kids?
Other than that, kids don't bother me. Shorter lines at the bar is a plus.

Every comment in this thread so far has been by anonymous. How funny would it be if they were all written by the same person arguing with himself? What if i was the same anonymous person who wrote all of the above comments, and now I am just pointing out this fact.

No, that wouldn't be funny.
Ditto on the sitting on the floor. Besides being pretty disgusting, it's really annoying.
Posted by Anonymous | April 4, 2008 2:52 PM
and so it begins....
