That was fucking bullshit. I had great seats three times and ticketmaster fucked up processing my request on the last page all three times. Now I have shitty lawn seats.

I love you WASTE!

I never got good tickets. I got only seats on the 200 sections and LAWN. I wanted PIT.

Posted by Eduardo | April 12, 2008 10:12 AM

Jables, same thing happened to me. That's never happened with Ticketmaster (for me) before.

Ended up with seats in 201, though, so I'm satisfied.

TM screwed up my order as well. I just reversed back a page from the error message, tried again, and I ended up getting the original seats (front 202's)- something to try if this happens to you in future.

I got lawn tickets after ticketmaster would not process my first one in which i waited 6 minutes for. Hell ill take it

if it's any consolation, pit tickets for the dc show (bristow) are going for about one hundred dollars a ticket on stubhub, which isnt that much of a markup from face (with fees tickets cost about seventy each).

just wait for the scalpers to receive their waste tickets, at watch the scalped ticket prices drop.

was on right at 10:00 and lawn was only available. I guess ticketmaster is a legit company.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 10:30 AM

Boston seats are still available at livenation.com

Posted by dave | April 12, 2008 10:46 AM

Camden seats are also still available at livenation.com.

I FUCKING HATE YOU TICKETBASTARD!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 11:18 AM

camden still has 200 level seats at livenation. But it seems the lawn is a better choice at that point

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 11:25 AM

I just bought my lawn seat in Camden. Granted, I did it two full hours after the whole thing started, but I somehow don't believe Ticketbastard really ran out of the good seats by this point, as the previous comments appear to attest.

That said, lawn at that arena isn't bad, Radiohead is a much more aural experience, and $60 plus a two-hour drive down the turnpike is better then $100+, some labyrinthine park/train excursion, and an unclear vantage point/set times.

PS if anyone lives in the Trenton area, you can get hte light rail to Camden super cheap.

is it liars or grizzly bear who is opening at camden?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 1:34 PM

gotta love waste

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 1:37 PM

grizzly bear, thank god

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 1:51 PM

pit and floor tickets were offered through WASTE. they always give the best seats in the house for fans, FYI

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 2:06 PM

Did anyone on here who got tickets through WASTE get their seat allocation yet?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 5:40 PM

not yet, it usually takes a month or so until waste is able to get all the seat allocation up and then another month or so until they ship them out. So you will probably know where the tickets are located in the middle of May.

i hope the jerk(s) who are selling 20 Pit tickets on StubHub for this show die a slow painful death. how the hell does one end up with 20 Pit tickets to a Radiohead show anyhow?! i also love that there are a total of 59 pit tickets on sale on stubhub - isn't that like half the size of the pit?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 9:05 PM

^i wouldn't always trust those stubhub tix...sometimes they buy out most of the tix for people who need wheelchair accessible/handicap tickets (i know, these scalpers are scum). and then resell them to you, which you then 1. look like a noob at the concert standing in the disabled area with 4 fully functioning limbs and 2. get called out by security/may be asked to leave.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2008 11:34 PM

So I guess you can already buy tickets through Ticketbastard, they come to liked 150 for a pair for Massachusettes, just bought 2.

Posted by magomra | April 13, 2008 8:54 AM

@11:34: I've never had any trouble with stubhub, and they guarantee the tickets, unlike Ebay. If you get a handicapped ticket through stubhub you can just call them and they'll sort it out. Wait until 4-5 days before the concert and scalpers are giving away seats on stubhub. Check out the listings for the Radiohead concerts in Florida next month. Literally, there are hundreds of seats going for less than face value. It's unreal.

Hi Bob:

Went online to get Radiohead tickets this weekend. I had a first draft of Master's Thesis due (and I work fulltime) this past week and could not find the energy to get up at 9:00 and drive to a "nearby" ticketmaster...30-40 minutes away nowadays?! Jesus, they used to have ticket shops everywhere, now I swear they only have in person services at Macy's - at least in Massachusetts...

Anyway, here is the receipt:

Radiohead -- $55 bucks per ticket. Yep, I am one of those Radiohead fans, so fifty bucks ain't no biggie to see them. But like most fans in America, and I am sure you get this all the time, what is the deal with the corruption of Ticketmaster? What is worse is Radiohead is on this tear about everything wrong with the system...then they book 30 Ticketmaster venues.

Convenience Fee = $11.85 per ticket -- Ha! Convenient for who?

Building Facility Charge = $7.00 per tickets -- I guess the suckers (I mean fans) are now paying for "renovations" to Great Woods (Tweeter Center). I mean seriously. Why the eff do I have to pay more fucking money to help rebuild Great Woods, when they charge $11 for a bottle of Bud Light or $6 for a Dasani Water inside? Is the owner short on cash? With those kinds of margins, these people seriously have to stick it up the ass of the fan one more time? God forbid some hack guy gets the ax in the bloated admin office to cut costs...

Processing Fee = $5.15 per ticket -- Didn't Ticketmaster already charge me $11.85 per ticket for costs? Another $5?!

Grand Total = $158 -- Wow. And then to think they will charge me $20 to park, $11 for a watered down beer inside (or in most peoples' case $33 for at least 3 beers to get some level of a buzz for the show) and maybe another $6 for a water on the way out. Add another $100 for two people...

I am a Radiohead nut. I loved the way they distributed In Rainbows and most of their business practices and fan friendliness, yada yada yada -- the enhanced EP imports, etc. But their entire US tour is a HUGE carbon imprint (a thing they loathe and blast others for doing) and totally sells out to Ticketmaster. After their whole anti-label thing, they can't figure out some way to work around these people? Maybe its just a symptom of playing in America and the structure of the system that is stacked against any band, but it just seems as if the band is not putting its total effort behind being against the system.

Phish did it better. The thing about Paluska was that he didn't come out publicly all the time and denounce the system in a Holier Than Thou way. Their fans simply knew their actions would speak louder than words. Not that Radiohead are chomping at the bit all the time. But, Phish just did it when they could (which was often) and Paluska realized that THEY had the leverage. That's right, the artist had the leverage. Phish, like Radiohead, could sell out just about anywhere anytime. So they just negotiated better deals when booking shows. Every venue wanted Phish. They just stuck to their guns, recognized some reality and chose their battles carefully and, most importantly, quietly. Their fans loved most of their moves and it sparked endless chatter among online web geeks about their intent. But they didn't come out and blast Glastonbury, make a big artistic statement about the industry, announce war and then not let it add up in the end. While I think Radiohead helps fans more than most and stick true to many moral methods for fans, this is a critical year. Things are changing in the industry big time. But while this is happening they stopped short. I guess 2 + 2 does equal 5...at least for the fan.

Thom Yorke is my favorite songwriter who is still workin' right now. In Rainbows is a great record. The band is as limitless as one can get and they treat the fan better than most. But Jesus...$158.00 for two tickets to a concert!!! Then add another $80 in goods.

Ugh...the Power is in tha Hands of the Band!!! When there is a will, there is a way. Radiohead figured out how to do this with releasing their albums. They seriously could not figure out how to do this on tour?! When their fans need them most! If anyone out there could have done this better, it was Radiohead.

A little irritated the Monday after buying tickets for a concert.

What gets me about Radiohead is that they promised to be environmentally conscious, but do just the opposite:

http://www.radiohead.com/deadairspace/index.php?a=310

"To help achieve better results, we’re trying to play as many shows as possible in city centres because of their better transport links."

Instead, they are not playing any shows in city centers! Boston? No. DC? Nope. Seattle? No again.

Radiohead are like politicians, they say one thing and do another.
