Not sure people will be able to participate in the fanclub presale (option 1)..you need an additional access code.
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 9:00 AM
Well hopefully someone with the access code will be god enough to post it on here. Share the Wealth
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 9:18 AM
Acess code is tied to individual memembership and can only be used once. Otherwise I would share it!
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 9:19 AM
Does this mean you need to be in REM's $10 fan club to do option one?
Posted by James Snuka | April 1, 2008 9:28 AM
Yes..I believe so.
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 9:29 AM
You also had to be a member of the club for about a month or so ago to qualify...
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 9:31 AM
Oh God! Who cares about pre-sale. I want to be The National for a night or two. I'm sure those georgous Mexicana's behind them were in need of nerdy americano hipsters!
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 9:42 AM
the presale with personalized access code is today. that's for paying fanclub members
there may be a sale tomorrow for "online fan community" which is just people who subscribed for email updates and the like.

hey national fans,
got a question -- who sings on the song 'reasonable man' from the cherry tree ep? it doesn't sound like matt to me. it sounds more like david bowie, but i'm guessing it's not him. please don't hate me. thanks
Posted by James Snuka | April 1, 2008 9:53 AM
i think it sucks that James ^ has to beg people on this board to not hate on him because he asked a simple question.
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 10:10 AM
James, it's Padma Newsome. I don't hate you.
Posted by KP | April 1, 2008 10:19 AM
@9:53 I didn't know Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka was a fan of The National
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 10:22 AM

Why Is Jones Beach cheaper then MSG?My broke ass will be sitting in the nosebleeds again.
I am sure that the whole old skool WWF likes the National.George "The Animal" Steele and King Kong Bundy will be sitting their big ass down in the front row.

pre-sale REM tix began on 4/1 at 10am, but only for eligible fan club members (a 10 dollar membership having been paid by jan. 28th to the fan club in Athens, GA, as another poster noted). a pin code was sent to members via email a few days ago, which worked to access alloted fan club tix this morning.
otherwise, the next pre-sale is suppose to start on 4/2 for those who have signed up to REM's "online community" via remhq.com.
not sure about the details for TN's and MM's tix arrangements.

Posted by jkov | April 2, 2008 9:57 AM
tried and got nothing but 100 section
then went back and it was sold out
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:02 AM
Online FC Presale sold out within seconds.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:07 AM
something must be wrong with the site right? no way it sold out that fast
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:10 AM
Just keep clicking continue. I got 2 in section 36 at 10:08.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:13 AM
I just got tix for Jones and pretty decent seats too...center, first stadium section 7. Yeah, I know, no beer but I actually kinda like Jones...especially since its a Saturday and if its a nice beach day, make a day of it. and you can drink your beer in the car in the parking lot :)I'm pretty psyched!
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:14 AM
I used the pre-sale and ended up with tickets on the floor which I don't want. I thought the FLOOR section would be GA and RSVD would be seats, but the tix I got are seats, and at the back. Does anyone know if there IS a GA section? Maybe I can get them during the public onsale and sell these tickets. They're pretty darn good tickets, but I don't want to be that far from the stage and I don't want to sit or even have a seat. I was right against the front barrier for Bjork at MSG. That's where I wanna be!
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:14 AM
Just keep clicking away and tix will still show up for MSG and Jones Beach. Although i have no idea why anyone would go to MSG instead of Jones. I mean who gives a shit that you cant drink beer at your seats. The sound and atmosphere at Jones will be a million times better.
The problem with the presale was that the best seats were not available for either place. I got in right away for Jones and got row G which is great but i wanted A B or C and there was nothing for that. Hopefully the regular will have some of those.
And Anon10:14pm i dont mean to rain on your parade but have you been to Jones before. Section 7 is the third level. It is an ok seat dude.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:22 AM
nothing for philadelphia, even in the uppers.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:35 AM
Does anyone know if ticketmaster is having a presale?
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:42 AM
MSG presale was bull shit
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 10:48 AM
MSG pairs are still available in floors 9,10,11 and 12.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 11:00 AM
tickets still avail but way too far back in the floor for the price they are asking
I think i'll wait for the regular sale, I'm sure there will be at least a MSG presale soon
sucks that one has to pay 10 bucks for fanclub membership to get good seats, whay can't every band be like Radiohead??
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 11:01 AM
is MSG floor just seats or will they have GA section?
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 11:11 AM
guys 0 best option is to get 40 dollar seats and hopefully you can sneak down during the show. 100 bucks for floor is too much.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 11:33 AM
got a pair at MSG in section 10 way back on floor, but right off side of FOH mix which means it'll sound great.
out of curiousity went back in and wouund up with rsvd seats in section 126, 4th row.
this was at noon. just keep clicking even though it says tix not available. on the 9th or 10th i got through
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 11:57 AM
Got 9R Row A at Jones Beach. Checked a few times and didn't see any Orchestra. Sucks but at least no one will be standing in front of me!
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 12:59 PM
hahah for those that say presale's suck, either i have extremely good luck or you dudes are not trying hard enough.
whoever said "keep clicking 'continue'" was spot on.
i got home two hours ago (5PM EST) and at first got a RVSP Section 105 ticket. canceled that and tried for floor. clicked for a good 3 minutes and got a Section 11 ticket.
mind you, this presale started at 10am EST. practically anyone could have gotten a ticket. now it's RSVP only.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2008 7:02 PM
if you knew the garden well you wouldn't be so happy with your floor section 11.
people are "floor addicted", sections 5-8
and 9-12 are horrible, better sit in the 100s.
Posted by anon | April 3, 2008 4:44 AM
i got to see Radiohead for free in October 2003 (no seats) in Section 6. and that was easily one of greatest shows i've ever been to.
though the 50's and even the 100's are indeed good seats, your word is quite worthless to me.
