whats the size difference - Webster vs. Skirball

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2008 10:58 AM

Skirball feels bigger, and it's seated.

Skirball = ~850 seats
Webster Hall = 1400 standing

are tickets still available for skirball? That seems the way to go as it's a lot nicer of a venue (not to mention a more appropriate one), and you get thao

Hey, I have an extra ticket available for tomorrow's show at Skirball if anyone is interested. I planned on taking a date but that went awry, so if someone could please take the ticket off my hands I would really appreciate it. Face value - $22.50 ($20 with a 2.50 surcharge from buying it online). I have the hard ticket in hand and I can meet you tomorrow before the show (at the venue or you can come by my work and pick it up in the afternoon). The auditorium at Skirball is really quite nice, I've checked it out - definitely a better atmosphere for the show and as mentioned, Thao is opening.

Simultaneously, I will trade my extra ticket to tomorrow's show at Skirball for a ticket to tonight's show at Webster. I really don't want to waste twenty five bucks and maybe you had tickets for yesterday's show and you can't make it tonight because Tuesday's are bad for you? I dunno - anybody?

Anyone who purchased through ticketmaster, have you received an email of the event change? I had a ticket for last night. I received an email yesterday that the concert was postponed but nothing today about the change to webster hall, etc.

wow. is no one upset for once about the unfair venue change? i'm really annoyed. i know i wouldn't have bought the hiro tickets if i had known it would end up at webster hall. so deceiving bowery presents

" is no one upset for once about the unfair venue change"

Have you seen the other She & Him thread?

Show was actually very nice. She is a beautiful girl and was really happy to be there. M Ward and the band played great. Sound was great. And for all you idiot conspiracy nuts out there, she was actually sick. She lost her voice from a cold the other day which is why they cancelled last night so as to let her rest and get it back. She could not even speak between songs so as to be able to sing tonite and tomorrow

I hate the lights at Webster! If I wanted to go to a club, I would go to a club and take cheap drugs and have shitty lights shined in my eyes all night. A least they turned off the fucking house lights two songs in.

BLURG.

tickets are still available for the show tomorrow night at skirball.

note to all: m. ward played there last year and requested to play there again he dug it so much. it's a great venue for this type of show.
