Sound Fix Lounge is Back Open, TPC tonight

We're relieved to say that after several weeks of city harassment the lounge at sound fix is back open. we'll be celebrating with a Tokyo Police Club instore tonight at 8pm with a signing and meet and greet in the store to follow. alcohol will be served! it's free first come first serve, no tix necessary. please don't call the store with questions.

(or) ... we've decided to start playing by the same rules that everyone else has to.

I want to call the store just to be passive agressive. I hope I get that awful, obnoxious intern that was passing out CDs before the Regina Spektor instore. You think she'll try to get her mom in for this one and do you think her mom will be all, "My daughter works for free" to the hipsters that runt the place? Confidential to intern's mom: they don't give a rat's ass.

"when woudl u say safe time to get there is, never been to an instore here and was just curious"
As you can see from the picure above, the shows there are not "instore"s.

all the shows are all ages and free.

why all the hate?
I mean, last time i checked, these free performances were pretty cool.
Plus, every time ive gone to soundfix, all of the employees have been really nice and helpful to me.

we have lives.
we just have mindless jobs that overpay us for doing nothing.

honesty and less condescending statements like, " please don't call the store with questions."

"Are they former members of The Police?"
"Can I join the club?"
"What's this rash on my back? It's getting bigger!"

BV Commenter #1: I think as a loyal music fan, Sound Fix owes me.
BV Commenter #2: They owe you? They provided hundreds of shows for free! How do they owe YOU?
BV Commenter #1: Worst. Venue. Ever.
Congratulations guys, you've achieved a head-up-your-ass level equivalent to Comic Book Guy.

indie rock store #1: why are you guys such dicks when we provide an awesome service?
indie rock hipster #1: because you guys are dicks when you do it, you act like we owe you something

every band is awesome, no one sucks, soundfix is the best....their staff is nothing like security at the bowery
Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2008 4:45 PM
seriously, if you hate the place and hate the people there then please do stay away. there are a lot of us that have a great time there and could do with less douchebaggery.
it's. a. free. show.

yet another productive thread...
so no one can suggest a safe time to get there?
Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2008 4:56 PM
"so no one can suggest a safe time to get there?"
I would guess a couple hours early. They just did the Virgin instore and Bowery Ballroom last night and the new album just came out ... the real question is what time are they going to open the lounge up?
Posted by anotheranon | April 23, 2008 5:11 PM
lounge will be open at 7pm
Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2008 5:25 PM
dont call and ask
Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2008 5:32 PM
Wait...is this whole "sound fix are dicks" claim from the sole fact that the following on their website:
"Every time we have a big show, we are bombarded with phone calls asking this annoying question. How the #*%@ should we know? Every show is different."
Really? That's what you're upset about? Grow up.
