The sound at death by audio was kind of bad.

they sounded amazing at death by audio

She uses a monopod to keep it steady. That's why it's so sharp.
True story.

With most of the group sitting down, didn't the photographer block everyone's view?
Posted by Anonymous | April 1, 2008 11:24 AM
there was no view to be blocked. you couldn't see anything - at least this was the case if you're short like me.

how was the DBA show? how were the rest of the bands? i was at sound fix and it was great...couldn't see what the drummer was playing, sounded more like a trash can lid than a hi-hat...anyone?

The xylophonist actually has a trashcan next to him that he was playing at times.

she uses a nikon d80.

That looks like a vibraphone to me.

@anon 1:50 - i was on the right hand side near the front, and was similarly entranced by the drummers tub drum sound - he had layerd a small cymbal on top of his crash (and there was some sort of diaphanous rag hanging down as well, which may have been for additional muting. no hi-hats, no toms other than a floor tom. it was a pretty cool set-up; definitely different.
