Jeez, when did this band get so bag. I think people just want to see Jack in a smaller place than he'd play with the White Stripes.
I'm just bummed that I'll be away for these shows.

Everything you've heard about Terminal 5 is true. It's bad. It's Roseland bad. I don't care who is playing there, once is enough (and that once verified everything I had heard).
Congratulations to bands who can fill that space. There are other venues of that size that are good spaces. Beacon. United Palace. Talk to your booking agents.
Sorry Bowery Presents. I love all your other venues, but this one was a mistake.

The sightlines really blow at Terminal 5, but I have noticed a market improvement in the sound since it's inception. You just gotta get there early to get a good spot, or sack up and push some hipsters aside.
Terminal 5 is a good venue for certain types of music, like the sweaty dance parties inspired by M.I.A. and Justice, or bands that use a lot of reverb, like Blonde Redhead or Editors.
And come on, it's nowhere near as bad as Roseland...

mah, mah, mah terminal 5 sucks, mah, mah, mah
i think i'd rather hear daft punk jokes than about how terminal 5 sucks at this point.

What time does Terminal 5 stop sucking?
Posted by Anonymous | April 5, 2008 10:36 AM
I've been to several shows at Terminal 5 and thought it was great. Guess it's a matter of opinion.

Truth is the view at Terminal 5 sucks, unless you are tall or are standing upstairs. But if you really wanted to see a band you would it shouldn't matter where they played as long as you were there. At least that's my opinion...

get there early if you want to see. if you show up at the last minute you're gonna have a tough time getting a good view.

"get there early if you want to see. if you show up at the last minute you're gonna have a tough time getting a good view"
As long as you do not have a problem with pushing and shoving people out of the way to get a good spot you can show up any time. I don't play the kids getting there hours beforehand. I get my good spot by any means necessary.

"Truth is the view at Terminal 5 sucks"
What? I agree with everyone that the sound is not great at T5, but the view is great. I have walked in late twice, and had no problem seeing the band. Then again, I'm really tall.
